“It helps you see our perspective”

Classification: UNCLASSIFIED

Hello,

I’m Ryan R. and I’m currently serving in the U.S. Navy but I’m stationed with the U.S. Marines. I’m a Navy Hospital Corpsman. We’re the medical support for Marines and we go and do everywhere they do. I’m serving with 11 other Corpsman that assigned to the various units out here in Iraq. I got this Christmas story from one of my Marines and thought that it just seemed to fit the sentiment of the letter that you wrote in the care boxes. I hope that it helps you see our perspective on how we feel towards our American brothers and sisters that watch over our families and support us so much.

Thank you.

A Different Christmas Poem

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,

I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.

My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,

My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white, Read the rest of this entry »

Sincere Thanks

Please accept my sincere thanks for all you have done for me. The packages I received have made my stay here in Kuwait, the best. It makes a Soldier feel great to know that there are Individuals such as you who care. I only wish there were caring people like you, when I spent my time in Vietnam. Again, thank you and all those folks who have helped you to help us.

Have a Happy and Healthy Holiday

‘People get touched by your generosity’

Thank you all so much for your prayers and the great boxes of
goodies you have sent our way. The Christmas tree arrived just
before Thanksgiving and not long after came another box full of
treats and presents. I set up the tree as soon as it arrived and
placed your gifts around it. My unit is lucky that our deployment
is coming to an end and we may just make it home for Christmas.
I'm sure that the tree and gifts you sent will help to make the
transition that much smoother for the incoming unit. I have been
passing out your goodies so that many more people get touched by
your generosity. I really appreciate all the support and the
little taste of home that you sent our way.

Thanks again for everything and God Bless all of you.

Sincerely,
CPT D.A.

‘The Soldiers enjoy them’

Thank you soo much for the boxes.
You have no idea how much the soldiers enjoy them
especially being that it is around the holidays.
Our DFAC has been having some issues so if there
are any canned foods or cooking materials or
boxed food you can get your hands on that would
be great. I attached a picture of my company in
front of a banner that we received.
Thanks Again,
Sgt C. B.

Lets Say Thanks

Something very cool that Xerox is doing…

If you go to this web site,
www.letssaythanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. The cards are designed by kids. Read the rest of this entry »
